Lord Kartikeya is a Hindu god, the son of Shiva and Parvati, and is a much revered deity especially in South India. He is known by various names like Murugan, Shanmukha, Subhramanian, Shadanana, Guha, Senthil, Saravana, Kumaraswamy and Skanda.
Here is the list of all names of him with explanation.
యోగీశ్వర – యోగీశ్వరులకు అధిపతి
మహాసేన – దేవసైన్యానికి అధిపతి, దేవసేనాపతి
కార్తికేయ – ఆరు కృత్తికా నక్షత్రములచే పోషింపబడిన వాడు
అగ్నినన్దన – పరమశివుని జ్ఞానాగ్ని నుంచి ఉద్భవించినవాడు మరియు పరమశివుని తేజస్సు కొంత సేపు భరించినందువల్ల, అగ్ని దేవునికి
కూడా తనయుడిగా పిలువబడినవాడు.
స్కంద – పరమశివుని తేజస్సు నుండి జన్మించినవాడు
కుమార – కుమార అన్న నామం కేవలం సుబ్రహ్మణ్యునికే చెందినది. ఎందుకంటే, జగత్తుకి మాతా పితలు అయిన పార్వతీ పరమేశ్వరుల అన్యోన్యతకి ఫలం మన బుజ్జి సుబ్రహ్మణ్యుడు.
సేనానీ – దేవసేనలకు అధిపతి, దేవసేనాధ్యుక్షుడు.
స్వామీ శంకరసంభవ – శంకరుని దివ్యమైన తేజస్సు నుండి పుట్టినవాడు.
గాంగేయ – పరమశివుని తేజస్సు అగ్నిదేవుడు భరించలేక, గంగా మాతకి ఇచ్చేస్తే, గంగా మాత కొంత సేపు శివుని తేజస్సును భరిస్తుంది. అందువల్ల, గంగా మాతకి కూడా పుత్రునిగా పిలబడ్డవాడు కాబట్టి గాంగేయ అనే నామం వచ్చింది.
తామ్రచూడ – కుక్కుటమును అధిరోహించిన వాడు.
బ్రహ్మచారీ – ఎల్లప్పుడూ బ్రహ్మనందు రమించువాడు.
శిఖిధ్వజ – అగ్ని ధ్వజముగా కలవాడు
తారకారి – తారకాసురడనే రాక్షస సంహారము చేయుటకు అవతారం దాల్చిన వాడు, తారకాసురుడిని, ఇతర రాక్షస గణములను సంహరించి దేవతలను రక్షించినవాడు.
ఉమాపుత్ర – ఉమాదేవి, అంటే పార్వతీ అమ్మ వారి ముద్దుల తనయుడు. అందుకే సుబ్రహ్మణ్య స్వామి వారు అచ్చం అమ్మవారి లానే
ఉంటారు.
క్రౌంచారి – పర్వత రూపములో ఉన్న క్రౌంచ అనే రాక్షసుడిని సంహరించినవాడు.
షడానన – ఆరు ముఖములు గలవాడు.
శబ్దబ్రహ్మసముద్ర – జ్ఞాన స్వరూపుడు, అంటే వేదములు ఏ పరబ్రహ్మ స్వరూపమును గురించి ఘోషిస్తున్నాయో, ఆ వేద శబ్దములచే ప్రతిపాదించబడిన వాడు.
సిద్ధ – పరిపూర్ణ సిద్ధ స్వరూపుడు
సారస్వత – సరస్వతీ స్వరూపము, అంటే జ్ఞాన స్వరూపము.
గుహ – సకలజీవుల హృదయ గుహలో కొలువై ఉన్నవాడు.
భగవాన్ సనత్కుమార – చతుర్ముఖ బ్రహ్మ గారి నలుగురు మానస పుత్రులలో ఒకరైన సనత్కుమారుడే సుబ్రహ్మణ్యుడిగావచ్చారు. ఈ విషయమే, శ్రీవిద్యా రహస్యంలో మాహాత్మ్యఖండంలో వివరించబడినదని, శ్రీ శ్రీ శ్రీ చంద్రశేఖరేంద్ర సరస్వతి మహాస్వామి వారు నిర్ధారించారు.
భోగమోక్షఫలప్రద – ఈ భూమి మీద మనం సుఖంగా జీవించడానికి అవసరమైన సంపదతో పాటు అంత్యమునందు మోక్షమును కూడా ఇవ్వగలిగినవాడు.
శరజన్మా – శరవణతటాకము (రెల్లు పొదల) నుండి జన్మించినవాడు.
గణాధీశ – సకల దేవతలకు, గణములకు అధిపతి అయిన వాడు.
పూర్వజ – అందరికన్నా ముందున్నవాడు, అంటే ఇక్కడ సుబ్రహ్మణ్య స్వామి వారు, కేవలం ఒక అవతారం మాత్రమే కాదు, ఎప్పుడూ ఉండే పరబ్రహ్మ స్వరూపం. ఆయన ఎప్పుడూఉన్నవాడు, పుట్టుక లేనివాడు.
ముక్తిమార్గకృత్ – ముక్తి మార్గమును బోధించే గురు స్వరూపం. అంత్యమున ముక్తిని ప్రసాదించి, తనలో కలుపుకునే స్వామి.
సర్వాగమప్రణేతా – సకల ఆగమములకు మూలము.
వాంచితార్ధప్రదర్శన – అభీష్టములను నెరవేర్చే తండ్రి.
